User Guide about Item Management in the eLIMS System.

There are Certain Prerequisits which should be available when creating a new Item

  • Item Brand must have been created

  • Item Supplier must be added to the system

  • Item Manufacturer must be added to the system

The item management settings are used to handle all system-utilized objects. If the item is not in the system's item list, it cannot be added to any list or stock request. Before an item can be utilized, it must be introduced to the system.

There are a total of 5 different types of items available within the system to accommodate the various types of items used in healthcare. Depending on the type of item you are adding to the system, the respective item type must be assigned to ensure accurate and most-appropriate data availability in the system. To ensure that accurate and pertinent data is available in the system, the appropriate item type must be assigned depending on the type of item you are adding.
